DESCRIPTION:Reds, oranges, yellows, and greens – there are so many good colors to add to our diets during the autumn season, and they all have wonderfully positive impacts to our well-being! Let’s learn more during this hands-on foraging workshop.\nWhat To Expect:\nDid you know that there are so many incredible plants that support our seasonal well-being growing in our community? Investigate the changing seasons, discover some delicious and nutritious autumnal plants, and learn more about how we can support healthy ecosystems and bodies through foraging! Participants will learn to identify and utilize local plants, such as Goldenrod, oaks, Bee Balm, Spicebush, crabapples, and more! We shall spend a majority of the program exploring the grounds for these plants, and learning ID & application techniques, so come dressed for the weather! After the walk, create your own foraged loose-leaf tisanes, and munch on some prepared refreshments utilizing local foraged plants that promote warmth and relaxation. Snacks may include (but are not limited to), Dandelion Latte, Crabapple spread over nut-flour crackers, and evergreen shortbreads.\nDetails:\nDate/Time: September 26th, 10am-11:30am\nLocation: Broad Run Park, Downingtown PA\nAdmission: $58/residents and $68/non-residents for ages 18+.
