Crafts for Birds Virtual Presentation
Birds can be so fun to watch flitting back and forth from our feeders, the trees in our communities, and along our commutes. During the winter months, there is very little life and color to observe, and birds can bring welcome refreshment during this cold season. In this hour long, virtual zoom seminar, participants will learn a little bit about winter birds and a variety of projects to do over the winter months to help attract them to your area and to protect them! This presentation is highly visual and includes dozens of my own bird photographs. This program is perfect for homeschool students, classroom presentations, or for adults who are interested in learning more about the incredible birds that visit your backyard!
We shall go over:
- Tips for Identifying Winter Birds by Sight & Sound
- Threats to Birds & Birds as Bioindicators
- DIY Crafts for birds that either attract, protect, or conserve local bird populations
The end of the presentation will go in depth, giving instructions/methods for each of the crafts for birds which may include Window Clings to prevent bird window strikes, suet feeders, fruit platform feeders, all-natural bird garlands, and shiny woodpecker deterrents.
Program will be recorded and sent out to all registrants, so sign up even if you can’t attend live! Admission is “Pay What You Can”, with a variety of budget-friendly options available (you MUST register even if you choose not to pay so that I know where to email the zoom link). A portion of the proceeds supports wildlife conservation efforts and ensures that I can continue creating educational content. Those who pay $15 or more will also get some of my illustrated weatherproof bird stickers in the mail as a thank you!
