Foraged First Aid: Wilderness Survival Workshop
Did you know that there are many great leaves and flowers out there that support our wellness and can be used as first aid measures in a pinch?
What To Expect:
Join me for a guided walk as we search for and identify these plants that can reduce swelling, act as an antiseptic, slow bleeding, and relieve pain from bruising! During the walk, learn how to identify, harvest, and prepare wild-first aid that will help support wellness and aid in injury relief while out on hikes, exploring the great outdoors this summer! We will learn how to apply spit poultices, create liniments, and salves while we identify cleansing, anti-inflammatory, and analgesic plants such as Plantain, Yarrow, Jewelweed, Witch Hazel, and more! We shall spend a majority of the program exploring the property for these plants and learning ID & Application techniques, so come dressed for the trails! Each participant will receive a package of outdoor first aid tools (spray bottles for liniments, gauze pads, medical tapes, as well as laminated plant ID cards) that you’ll be able to bring with you on your hikes and outdoor adventures!
