Mother’s Day Orchid Kokedama Workshop
Celebrate Mother’s day, the spring season, and the warming weather while discovering the wonderful world of plants with this Mother’s Day Kokedama Orchid Workshop!
What to Expect
We’ll discuss orchid habitats and native environments, unique substrates that they can grow in (and on top of!), and their amazing adaptations as we create floating moss ball plant hangers, utilizing a Japanese planting technique called Kokedama. We will work primarily with the beautiful Phalaenopsis orchids, sphagnum moss, preserved moss, and bark chips. All plant and kokedama materials are provided, however if you wish to bring your own gardening gloves, you may! Each participant will bring home their own completed Orchid Kokedama. At the end of the program, we shall talk about at-home care, watering techniques, and how to ensure that your orchid thrives for years to come.
