Spring Break Holiday Camp

Searching for something educational, fun, and filled with hands-on discovery to fill your child’s time during spring break? Bring them along to The Art of Ecology’s Spring Break Holiday Camp on April 14th & 15th (9am-3pm) at Pie Bird Farm in Ottsville!

School Holiday Camp Themes:

April 14th: Fun with Flowers & Foliage

Explore the new growth and buds of spring as we hike around to observe the many trees, flowers, and grasses of Pie Bird Farm! We’ll examine what seasonal changes have allowed new life to flourish, and engage in hands-on, scientific & creative learning through flower dissections, plant magnification, creating our own plant pigments, starting some of our own seeds to bring home, and more.

April 15th: Springing into the Wild

Step into the “shoes” of wildlife as we discuss overwintering methods of many animals, and how the seasonal changes are letting animals forage, nest, and survive now that they’ve woken up. We’ll follow the life cycles of several animals including insects, mammals, amphibians, and birds through educational survival games, hikes to observe habitats, foraged food fun, wildlife conservation art activities, and more!
