Summer Foraging & Harvesting Workshop
Explore nature’s bounty in your own community during this summer foraging & harvesting workshop experience!
What to Expect:
During the summer season, there are many plants to forage for holistic and culinary benefit. During this workshop, participants will take a walk around the Bucks Audubon property to learn how to identify several wild plant species, as well as some in depth harvesting techniques. We shall focus on proper tree & bark pruning techniques, root harvesting ethics, and science of floral picking & “dead-heading” flowers. Each participant will get to try these techniques to harvest plants to take home with them to dry, infuse, or decoct. Suggested plant recipes will be provided as well. After the harvesting walk, we shall return to the center to create our own locally-harvested and foraged tea blends.
