Winter Foraging Foray
Discover the wonders of winter as we identify wild-edibles in the winter landscape. We will take a foraging walk around the property before heading back to the center to try some seasonal wild-edibles and create our own tea blends to keep us cozy and healthy this winter during this Winter Foraging Workshop. Participants can try Conifer-blend Eggnog (alcoholic), Foraged Root hot Coffee (non-alcoholic), Rosehip cold Punch (non-alcoholic), Pine Shortbread Cookies, and Beautyberry honey over crackers and fruits.
Foraging foray workshop dates:
- January 22nd, 10:30am @ Bucks County Audubon Society, New Hope (Snow day on January 23rd at the same time)
- February 5th, 2:30pm @ Peace Valley Nature Center, Doylestown
Admission is $40/pp. A portion of the proceeds is donated back to Peace Valley Nature Center.
Get ready for the Winter Foraging Workshop and learn how I prepare foraged wild-edibles on my YouTube Channel HERE!
Please note – I am prepping advanced foraging workshops (3 hrs. long, where participants create lip balms, medicinal teas, salves, and more!). These focus on the medicinal qualities and ecosystem roles of the specific workshop plants. You must have first attended one of my seasonal foraging workshops to attend one of my advanced workshops. We’ll focus more on specific plant ID and the project creation rather than the basics of foraging etiquette and basic plant ID. More dates and info about Advanced Foraging Workshops to come.
