I absolutely love being able to use live animals in education! They provide children with unique, up-close and personal experiences where kids (or adults) can truly observe, make comparisons, and gain deeper appreciations for the natural world and how the animals are connected to their habitats.

Did you know that butterflies, skippers, and moths use their antennae to smell? They can move their antennae around as they land in search of the tastiest nectar to drink.

My Bee Balm has finished blooming, but it's still useful to have around! Many insects will overwinter in old flower stems, such as this one, echinacea, rudbeckia, goldenrod, and many others. Leaving those old stems after they are done flowering can provide valuable habitat for many!

I love the look of the dahlias and coleus next to each other, especially with the circular shape of the nasturtium leaves beside it all!
