Explore the incredible biodiversity and life cycles of the many animals that live in our creeks and streams during this virtual presentation. Throughout the presentation, enrich your taste-buds with cocktail/mocktail recipes featuring foraged & herbal ingredients that are inspired by the macroinvertebrates, fish, turtles, and plants of these aquatic creek systems!
We shall go over:
- What even IS a Creek: Lentic Vs. Lotic Habitats
- Riparian Zones and Buffers
- Creek Critter Identification
- Cocktail/Mocktail Recipes inspired by the flora & fauna of Pennsylvania Creeks
- …and more!
2 of the highlighted recipes will be sent out 3 days ahead of time in case you would like to prepare a cocktail/mocktail or two to sip on during the presentation and during the “happy hour” with the virtual group afterwards. Join in live or during the recording for the remaining recipes! Time will be given at the end for question & answers, as well as general stream-talk during the “happy hour”.
Program will be recorded and sent out to all registrants, so sign up even if you can’t attend live! Admission is “Pay What You Can”, with a variety of budget-friendly options available (you MUST register even if you choose not to pay so that I know where to email the zoom link). A portion of the proceeds supports wildlife conservation efforts and ensures that I can continue creating educational content. Those who pay $15 or more will also get some of my illustrated weatherproof fungi themed stickers in the mail as a thank you!
If you do not see the zoom link & confirmation in your email inbox within 24hrs., please check your spam folder, then check that you spelled your email address correctly, then reach out to me at email@example.com (at least 20 minutes prior to the presentation start time!).
