Catnip (Nepeta cataria) has long been associated with cats, hence this herbs name. The volatile oil found in the plant’s aerial parts can be quite a positive trigger to cats – only a few sniffs and they will be rolling on, chewing, and playing. The aroma can also create feelings of calm and reduce anxiety, therefore this catnip cat toy is a great way to enrich your pet’s life.

This zero-waste catnip cat toy are made to be as eco-friendly as possible while giving your furry friend something exciting to play with.

Details:

• Each cat toy is made with 100% cotton fabric, from fabric scraps used in The Art of Ecology’s educational programming (Beeswax food wrap class).
• Stuffed with organic catnip, harvested by hand from my garden
• Hemp twine “tails” are made with scraps from The Art of Ecology’s educational programming (Kokedama class).
• Due to the handmade nature of these upcycled toys, each one will have variations in fabric color and size, however they all are roughly 1 1/2″ long. Also, due to the fact that these are all made with upcycled fabric scraps, certain colors may not be available all of the time and rely on what program participants used. Fortunately, your cat will care more about what the toy is stuffed with, rather than the color of the toy!
