We had our first snow flurries here the other day, so I'm in need of some sunshine! #ThrowbackThursday to when St. John's wort was in bloom... DYK that this flower has incredible benefits for your brain and mental well-being during the winter months? When drunk as a tincture, it can regulate neurotransmitters to better cope with Seasonal Affective Disorder and reduce depression (but always chat with a doctor if you have questions !!!). Having a little bottle of summer sunshine around for dreary months can be so helpful.

This tree has seen some things! There is evidence of all sorts of boring insects damage, woodpecker holes, and it has a complete loss of bark. This dead snag will go on to provide many birds with habitat and I always see woodpeckers darting around when I walk past.
