Botanical Illustration Live Plant WalkDid you enjoy my Intro to Botanical Illustration class or just want some more experience drawing the beauty of the world around you? We will spend the evening outside, identifying plants to draw from and learning how to separate the subject from the background. In case of rain, we will quickly walk around and photograph our subjects to return indoors to draw (live plants will also be provided inside if it rains!). Please dress accordingly. All materials provided.

National Geographic Professional Development for JTASD EducatorsThanks to a Grant from National Geographic, alumni Marissa Jacobs-Farra will provide a FREE professional development opportunity for any Middle School- High School teacher regardless of discipline to discover how to use citizen science as a tool to increase geographic and environmental literacy in students as well as broaden horizons for career exploration. Part of the day will be outside, so please dress accordingly.
