Flora & Fauna of Kenya 2021 Trip PresentationDiscover the flora & fauna of Kenya, as I present about my most recent trip to the Maasai Mara, Nyaketch, Kisumu, and Nairobi regions of Kenya! During this one hour presentation, you’ll learn more about how lions rely on shrubs in the grasslands of Maasai Mara, about the intricate nest building behaviors of birds like the Hammerkops, about the competitive relationships of hippos as they eat grasses along stream banks, and more! A portion of the proceeds is donated to African wildlife conservation groups. Black Walnut & Botanical Tie-DyingDiscover the art of creating pigments and dyes out of nature’s bounty during our tye-dye party! We will take a walk to identify plants that can be used for dye baths and learn a little about the history and importance of Black Walnuts as paint, dye, and war paint! Then we will create our Black Walnut dye baths to create our own botanically tie-dyed t-shirts.
