Flavorful Flowers Foraging Foray
Discover the benefits of the vibrant pinks, yellows, oranges, and reds as we identify common flowers in the landscape, as well as some of the holistic benefits they hold during this Flowers Foraging workshop.
What To Expect:
Explore nature’s bounty in your community through this hands-on foraging walk! During the summer season, there are many plants to forage for holistic and culinary benefit. During this workshop, participants will take a walk around the property to learn how to identify several wild plant species, as well as some ethical harvesting techniques to use at home. We shall focus on floral anatomy and science of floral picking & “dead-heading” flowers. Each participant will get to try these techniques before returning from the walk to create their own locally-harvested and foraged flower tea blends. Suggested plant recipes will be provided as well for those interested in utilizing flowers for culinary purposes.
