Foraging Foray: Earth Day Fun!

Celebrate Earth Month at Upland Farm Park’s Earth Day Festival by getting to know the habitats in your community, how you can manage invasive species, improve habitat quality, and improve your own well-being through the act of foraging during this program!

What To Expect:

Explore the great outdoors, celebrate Earth Month, uncover some hidden plant delights, and learn more about our place in our ecosystems duringĀ a guided walk. Participants will learn to identify and use local plants, such as Violets, Chickweed, Garlic Mustard, Dandelion, maples, and more, that promote digestive and immune system support as our bodies reawaken for the spring. We shall spend a majority of the program exploring the grounds for these plants and learning ID & Application techniques, so come dressed for the weather! After the experience, come back to The Art of Ecology’s Earth Day table to create your own foraged loose-leaf tisanes as a complimentary part of the workshop!
