Summer Foraging Workshop
Discover the vibrant summer life as we identify wild-edibles in the busy landscape in this Summer Foraging Workshop.
What To Expect:
We will take a foraging walk around the property before heading back to the center to try some seasonal wild-edibles and create our own tea blends use to cool and soothe our bodies during the workshop. The first portion of the event will take place outside, learning about foraging etiquette, sustainability, and plant ID. Foraging Documents to create your own Materia Medica (foraging book) will be available. Pease dress according to the weather. During this (end of) Summer Foraging Workshop, participants can try Wildflower cupcakes, Nasturtium salsa with chips, Mugwort-Lavender Vodka Lemonade (alcoholic), Wild Mint Sun Tea (non-alcoholic), and berry Jam over crackers.
2 Dates Available: August 5th, 6:30pm at Peace Valley Nature Center (Doylestown), September 9th, 6:30pm at Pie Bird Farm (Ottsville)
