Practical Foraging: Winter Body Scrub Workshop

Discover the wonders of the natural world and the incredible ways that plants provide for us during this practical foraging, winter body scrub workshop.

What to Expect during a Winter Body Scrub Workshop:

We will take a foraging walk around the property to identify local wild plants who support general health & well-being, as well as go over drying methods so that we can use those plants year-round. Then, we will head back to the center to create our body scrubs designed to uplift dreary, winter moods, soothe & support elasticity of dry winter skin! The first portion of the event will take place outside. Pease dress according to the weather.

During the program, we will examine volatile oils, primary & secondary metabolites, aromatic, nervine, and vulnerary properties of  wild plants. Each participant will make and take home a sugar scrub and a Himalayan salt scrub, as well as a laminated body scrub recipe card – perfect for using yourself or using for gift-giving (they are perfect stocking stuffers!).

Workshop Details:

Admission is $65/pp. A portion of the proceeds is donated back to Bucks County Audubon Society.
