What To Expect:

Explore many fun, creative ways you can support feathered friends this fall during a birding walk and hands-on workshop designed for ages 9–14.

Take a birding walk through our Gardens and observe the birds that call Longwood home. Explore the vital role that birds play in our ecosystem health, how to identify local bird species, the biggest impacts and threats to their survival, and how to make a positive difference. Design your own window clings to take home to protect migratory birds from window strikes, along with your newfound knowledge. All materials included.

This workshop will meet partial requirements for the following badges:
Junior Girl Scout: aMUSE Animal Habitats Badge
Bear Elective Adventure: Fur, Feathers, and Ferns Adventure Badge
